Nordhorn zoo

Just 7 kilometres from mini campsite Het Brook, just across the border with Germany in Nordhorn, is Tierpark Nordhorn. Among Dutch people it is also known as "Dierentuin Nordhorn". The zoo was founded in 1950 and today it is home to around 1,000 animals of around 90 species. The animals' enclosures are separated from each other in a natural way, which might make you forget that you are in a zoo!

Tierpark Nordhorn is located on the river Vecht and covers ten hectares. The zoo is open daily from 09:00 to 19:00. Entrance is possible until 18:00.
